Ghes is a small village of evergreen forest area located in Dewal Block of Chamoli District of Uttrakhand. It is also a  base for trekking to Bedni Bugyal , Roopkund and Bagji Bugyal.

Ghes is an unspoiled natural destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Ghunti and nanda Devi .It is located at an elevation of 7650 ft above sea level.  Ghes village is surrounded by forests of pine, deodar and rhododendron and is rich in flora and fauna include rare species of birds and musk deer.

The best time to visit is from October to June. Ghes is also a popular destination during the winter months due to the snowfall that the area experiences. The morning view from Ghes is invigorating when the crimson rays of sun kiss the snow laden Himalayas.

    10. Can we expect rains/snowfall during the home stay / trek?
      Yes, Sudden weather changes are expected, always carry a light raincoat or waterproof windcheater/poncho.

      In Ghes at few points  you may get BSNL, IDEA, AIRTEL, VODAFONE mobile networks. In other locations, you won’t have any network.

    1. Ghes is well connected by road , it is 210 Km from Kathgodam and 255 Km from Rishikesh.

      Both Kathgodam and Rishikesh are well connected by train service.

      We can also provide Kathgodam to Kathgodam transportation for Rs 1800 .

    1. Before 30 days: Full refund (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
    2. Between 21-30 days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded
    3. Between 11-20 days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded
    4. Between 0-10 days: No refund
