The Pindari Glacier is found in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttrakhand, to the southeast of Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot Mountain. The glacier flows to the south for a short distance of about 3 km (1.9 mi),0.25 km in breadth and gives rise to the Pindar River which meets the Alaknanda at Karnaprayag of Rudraprayad district of Garhwal .

The trail to reach the glacier crosses the villages of   Saung, Loharkhet Dhakuri pass  continues onto Khati village (the last inhabited village on the trail), Phurkia  and Zero Point Pindar  the end of Trek. Though most of the trail is along the banks of the Pindari River, the river is mostly hidden until after Khati.

The Pindari Glacier Trek commences from Loharkhet at 1,760 meters and heads to Dhakuri at 2,680 meters, the track from Dhakuri then leads off at Khati at 2,210 meters passing through a vast forest of rhododendron and from there it paces along the River Pindar to Dwali at 2,575 meters. The route from Dwali splits to to Phurkia from where we have to go to Pindari Glacier, which is the Zero Point. The trek downhill from the Zero Point to Loharkhet follows the same trekking route passing through villages and colourful meadows.
